At our school, we use the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme to teach early reading and phonics skills. Children begin learning phonics in Nursery and continue through Reception and Key Stage 1 until they complete the programme, usually by the beginning of Year 2. Through engaging, structured lessons, children develop confidence in recognising sounds, blending words for reading, and building strong foundations for spelling and writing.
