Curriculum Statement

At St Ethelbert’s, we aim to provide an excellent, broad and balanced education rooted in Christian values focused on the development of the whole person. Children at our school feel valued and are treated as unique individuals with their own special talents and skills.

We offer an exciting and creative curriculum with equality of access to the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curricula for all pupils. Our teaching is inclusive and offers the highest levels of support and challenge to suit the needs of individual pupils. Our pupils understand the importance of all aspects of learning and participate willingly in all areas of the curriculum.

We see all within our school as learners, and aspire to develop creativity, thinking skills and emotional intelligence. Our aim is for our pupils to leave St Ethelbert’s ready for the next stage of their education, knowing they have achieved to the very best of their ability.
