St. Ethelbert's CatholicSports Premium Information
The Sports Premium is dedicated funding from central government that is allocated to improving the quality of sport and PE for primary school pupils in Years 1-6.
A school the size of St Ethelbert’s receives £8,000 plus an extra £5 per pupil. The money is ring-fenced for the provision of additional sports and coaching and could be spent on:
- Funding Teachers’ professional development in sport and PE
- Providing additional PE coaching from trained professionals
- Buying resources for PE and sport
- Providing coaching, entry and travel to sports tournaments and competitions
- Providing places for pupils in lunchtime or after school sports clubs
